A successful 18 months in sales left Jared desiring more. He decided to follow his childhood dream of becoming a doctor. In 2009, Jared earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree as well as his Masters Degree in Sports Science & Rehabilitation from Logan College of Chiropractic and University Studies, receiving the “Most Likely to Succeed” Award from Southroads Health Center.
Seeing that his practice was out-growing his space at Metro Chiropractic, Dr. Van Anne decided in late 2011 to break off and start his own practice. His dream was fulfilled on January 6, 2012 when he saw his first patient at the new office in Westport.

Jim grew up in Youngstown, OH and graduated from Hubbard High School. Powers has always been involved in sports and started coaching after graduating from high school. After graduating from Youngstown State, Jim started a high school coaching career in both football and basketball. His philosophy was very simple, work hard and do the fundamentals the right way. He worked his way up the coaching ladder and ended the coaching part of life as a head coach in basketball. This was made possible by tons of hard work.
Since moving to St. Louis in 2004, Powers has turned his attention to working in the media and handling Business Development and Marking for companies in the area.
Powers is the host of the "High School Sports Caravan" on 590 KFNS and SportsRadio 1380 while appearing on Fox Sports Midwest on their high school sports coverage. He also travels with the Missouri Valley Conference and Missouri Valley Football Conference doing work for their television broadcasts.
On the marketing side, Powers has helped grow business for companies by building solid relationships and making sure that he is able to put together solid plans. This is something that he strongly believes in.
Powers is also very active in the community. He has served as a co-chair for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in South County St. Louis and is a member of the Eastern Missouri Regional Council for the Relay for Life. He also works with high school students that participate in their DECA programs. DECA is part of the Business and Marketing classes in many high schools in the state of Missouri. He has judged many district competitions and the State CDC. He now helps organize and train judges for the State CDC.
